Official Disclaimer

Okay, so as you probably saw, Colby has decided to post on this blog. Now, as this blog is intended to be a "family" blog- meaning Colby's and my family, of course-usually I would not feel compelled to post a response to his post. However, when the post in question refers to me in such gushing tones, the post automatically becomes one that requires intervention. In this case, an official disclaimer. Those of you who know me realize how much I ADORE having my picture taken- you caught the sarcasm, right?? So Colby's post, such as it is, even without any pictures, makes me blush and feel like I want to blend right in with the chair I am sitting in. He still doesn't get it. Gushing praise, even when 110% sincere and heart-felt, makes me squirm and get all blushing. Even without pictures. But, points for the sweet thoughts and love, right? Silly boy......

Mini-Vacation

Okay, so I have discovered another potential hazard for me and blogging getting along well: I am terrible at remembering a camera! Our little family had a mini-vacation this past week and- you guessed it- I forgot the camera! We took the kids to Lagoon one day. It was the first time Savannah had been since she was about 3, and the first time Charlotte and Barrett had ever been. It was so much fun, and the kids had a ball, but I totally spaced the camera. Unforgivable, I know. Then, we took them to Seven Peaks waterpark in Provo, and forgot the camera again. Doubly unforgivable, isn't it? The thing is, I have tried to figure out a way to blame the camera-free vacation issues on Colby, but it just doesn't work out. Oh well. Another point to consider- (keep in mind me and my eternal pessimism here!!!) if I had remembered the camera, it would have taken me weeks to remember to load the pictures on the blog. That is, of course, assuming I ever figure out how to do that. Sigh.......

What am I doing?

So, here it is, almost 1:30 in the morning, and I am trying to figure out how to maneuver and work within a "blog." This is new territory for me; I mean, I just recently became familiar and unafraid working with e-mails, so this is a big step for me!! :) So, for now I think I am just going to attempt posting this comment, and we'll go from there! Baby steps, after all.....
